What kind of group are you considering “precision” I’m not that good of a shot and I’m getting under 1/2” at 50 yards pretty easy. Having some that are way less. Even 3,4,5 shot groups. I guess I don’t know what others are expecting. This is with mid range ammo.
I’m getting such good groups that I can’t justify some of the stuff I wanted for the gun at first. Better trigger, new barrel, expensive ammo, all that fun stuff.

i still wanna mess with the headspace on it but man idk I’m afraid to mess it up now
With my cz452 On a bench shoot 10 shot groups at .5 inch without to much trouble at 50 yards with Eley match. It’s very good. I would like to do better than that at 100 with whatever setup I get.

I gotcha! I guess I’m learning the difference between taking a good shooting gun and making it better vs buy the 2000$ gun. I guess I’m also having fun learning and play with my cz. I don’t have a ton of money in it so adding a little more to try to see if I can squeeze some better groups of it is fun.

the big thing that I had a hard time accepting was that 1/4 inch difference in a groups at 50 or 100 yards is the difference between a good 22 that will be fun to compete with and a 22 that will give you a chance at getting into the top bracket. Not to say skill isn’t involved and someone couldn’t do that with a $300 Walmart 22 because I am sure it is done often.

this ^^^ in my language… when I am out with my buddy squirrel hunting and he says”look, a squirrel out there at 125yards” and I say “headshot incoming” and then execute that shot… I consider that winning.

Ugh. I have an FVSR that I never shoot because it has the dumb "Swamp People" Gator Camo. I need to get a new stock or chassis for it, but so far haven't wanted to spend money on it since I have the Ruger rimfires that I have sunk way too much money into. This looks great.
What's wrong with rattle-can camo to cover up the ugly? A couple coats of something from AutoZone and nobody will see it.

In my perfect, thus never happen world, you'd have a manufacturer make a pistol/rifle system using the same mags.

My Buckmark is dead nuts accurate and would love a rifle that used the same mags that was equally reliable and accurate. Instead, I have multiple guns, each serving their own purpose, each with their own mags.

Nothing souped up just a stock 10/22, Marlin 22Mag bolt, Marlin M60, Henry Lever, my Dad’s old Stevens bolt. All shoot surprisingly quite well at 50 yards. Most have given woodchucks, squirrels, rabbits and crows a headache too!

Strongly suggest getting a Bergara as your "cheapest", although a CZ 457 Varmint Precision is another option... Loving the Vudoo, but it's going to be more expensive, but that's all relative.

I'm currently running a Remington 40X International, and a Volquartsen stainless action build with mostly Kidd parts and a B&C adjustable bedded stock. Both are phenomenal, but they each prefer specific different ammo, not that anything shoots "bad." I probably have the cost of a Vudoo into the semi.

Currently considering a KRG Bravo chassis for the semi...

Some pics. The 40X in its original configuration, but it now has a Leupold 36X BRD on it; and some 100 yd. 10-shot groups from the 40X with various ammo. None of that ammo was sorted to lot via micrometer.

Made a decision yet @Jagger0502?
You read my mind, I was just logging in tonight to make an update.

I went ahead and ordered a Vudoo Carbon Sinister after some debating with a few buddies and gathering all the info I could these last few weeks. One buddy said I am crazy for buying a gun for that much, the other said he has multiple 22s and wishes he would have just went ahead and bought a Vudoo from the get go instead of chasing a gun that could shoot like a Vudoo and never finding it. I am still not sure which one is right… prob both, but the deciding factor was my wife which I was VERY nervous to give her the info and cost but the other night I ran it past her and without hesitation she gave me the green light so I have about 6-8 weeks until it should ship. I really hope they are worth all the hype and as accurate as they say.

Thank you all for your input, it was all well received!

Then she won’t mind if you add something with a Fortner action too.:)
Haha, I think she knows that I know I am lucky to have her… and I also know when to not push my luck!

Tonight we just celebrated our anniversary and I got her a new O/U shotgun… so we both got what we wanted this year. If that tells you anything about my wife and her view on guns.
