I'm new to the saddle hunting game, so whatever I can do to reduce the amount of tinkering at height, the better.
Someone tipped this deal earlier this year, and I bought four packages of this rubber wire.

I've found a ton of uses so far, but one that I like the best is using it as a gear hanger for my presets. I wrap it around the tree, twist the two tags ends around each other, and it cinches tight to the tree.
I then hang these hooks on the wire:

Next, I run a second length of wire below the first, but near the bottom of the hook shank in order to hold the hooks against the trees, to prevent any movement when putting gear on or taking it off.
Plenty of strength to hold my pack, binocs, range finder, calls, water bottle, etc. They really do hold 30 lbs, so you could hang your bow on it as well. I prefer my bow up higher, so I put a screw in holder higher for that.
Only a few bucks per tree, and one less thing to fidget with when I get to height.
I'll grab a picture next time I'm in a tree.
