So today it was 40* and I knew from last year my uninsulated boots need either 2 layers of socks or some foot warmers to get by. Last year I just stuck the hand warmer between my sock and boot, worked fine. In a rush to get out I forgot a 2nd pair of socks so I found some of those adhesive toe warmers and thought they would work great to keep my ankles warm this warming the blood in my feet. So I stuck them to my upper ankle under my sock. DO NOT DO THIS, Read the directions. I thought it was just the adhesive grabbing hairs or something and paid no attention to the discomfort around the warmers. After the hunt Inclimbed down and scouted a bit and noticed my ankle hurting reaches down and ripped off the heaters and saw a nice blister had formed on one side and the other wasnt as bad but has a couple small raw spots. Bonehead award for the day goes to me!
