Question to one stickers

Can you post a closeup pic of that mod? Thanks!
Sorry man I’ve since switched gear hangers and I can’t find it. But here’s a sorta pic of what I did:

I heated the upper hook and squeezed it together right where the red line bisects each side. I also removed the wire gate. I heated and squeezed the number 2 anchor point where the blue line bisects both sides. Not completely closed but enough so that it would tightly grab the gear strap and not move. After that I threw some automotive heat shrink over the large hook to help with sound reduction and also not scratch up my cam.

@Exhumis do you like the tether locker? I quit using my delta link for everything except final rappel because my line (11.4mm) always wanted to sag a little, that's no good. I thought the ohm might help. Sorry I don't mean to hyjack the thread

Yeah I like it. Lotsa folks use a nite ize or gear tie but for me this works well since I leave it tied to my rappel line.

Will 9mm canyon elite work with quick link delta? Opening on the quick link looks pretty small, I haven’t gotten the rope yet, want to make sure, also the edges on the opening.. do u guys file it down carefully? mine came very sharp

9 mm delta link works fine with 9 mm rope, 8 mm delta link works but it is a tight

i ordered a 10 mm delta link and they increase all dimensions at that threshold of size and it becomes a boat anchor

i use 9 mm delta links because they are a little heavier than 8 mm delta links but stronger with a bigger opening and the bend radius of the rope going around the 9 mm is a little less severe....it is the sweet spot for me

The only options they had were stainless and the other finishes so it would be my fault, for assuming.

^^^ I love EWO but there's a lot of good climbing stuff on Amazon too...

I will NOT buy the Chinese crap though!

Thanks @Exhumis I'll probably give that a try.

I do have to say it's @DB4x4 for the win! And here I was thinking clothes pin, although I'd need a big one! Lol Or maybe one of those black springy office clips. Chip clip to the rescue!

Finally, someone is going to join Team Chip Clip... :tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy:
I saw someone using a wire chip clip / paper clamp / clothespin thing that I want to try. If I girth hitch it to my pulldown line a foot or so in from the attachment to the rap line it should pop off if I forget to remove it. And I won't loose it (maybe).
