What kind of bino harness do you all like to use with your saddle? One that isn’t in the way.

I am all ears on this one as well. Love my bino harness but hate doing it rub on the bridge. Low tether helps but thinking the has to be something better than my badlands harness for saddle hunting.

For years I’ve used a Crooked Horns Outfitters Harness to hold my Nikons. The Nikons are Action Zoom 10-22x. The harness works well to hold such a big pair of Bino’s. Interestingly since I took up Saddle hunting I’ve found myself not using Binoculars as much and relying on my 6x Range Finder instead. Smaller, lighter and easier to carry. And 6x seems sufficient for me.

I’ve been doing the same, but I find the same problem with the optics always getting wet it dirty and finding it hard to see clearly through it a lot of the time. I hate when I accidentally breath on it as I’m slowly putting it up to my face and it foggy up too.

This is what I use for my Range finder. Has the 32” retraction lanyard built in. Keeps it out of the weather. I’m using no fog wipes for eyeglasses occasionally and it seems to prevent fogging rather well.

You know that’s a really good question..... I find that all the harnesses that covers your binos is just to bulky. I have a pair of the vortex vipers 8 by 42 that came with the harness those are nice for stalking. However while in my saddle I like to use Swarovski CL 10 by 25 just hang them around my neck unzip my jacket a bit and tuck them in. They are so small I don’t even notice them being there. The bad thing is because of them being 25mm the field of view is not as wide but I can live with that.

I don't see that one on Gear Keeper's site.

Thanks. I wasn’t having luck navigating to it.

How did this go from a bino harness thread to a rangefinder holster thread? Lol

Sorry I derailed it!:imp:

It’s alright. I’ve been looking for something like this too for a while. Don’t know that I want to spend $50 on it though, by the time I pay tax and shipping.

I like to keep things simple. I don't like any of the harnesses , if I'm bow hunting. The harnesses seem to place the binos in a position that might interfere with the Bow string. I just use a standard 3/8 inch strap with nothing else on the strap. I place the strap over my neck, and right shoulder (I'm right handed). This keeps it out of the way of my string, and the binos stay pretty close to my armpit. They actually remain very stable in that position.
When I need to use them, they are in a handy position to use, one-handed. I just have to slide them around to my chest, and then up to my face. This is where the plain strap shines.
I do this with 10x42 binos. With smaller ones, I sometimes forget that I'm wearing them.
