I've got a spot I am going to hunt Friday that has too thick of a canopy to hunt any height in a tree but good areas to hunt from the ground. I have a stool and pvc pipe to hold branches I'm going to cut to make a makeshift blind. Has anyone tried their saddle on ground level instead of a stool when bowhunting? If so, any tips Thanks!

I have once or twice when I couldn’t find climbable trees.

Yep. I have a sit drag that works well for ground hunting.

Some guys use sit drags / saddles for turkey hunting at ground level without having to sit on the ground

Yeah. That's what the sit drag was intended for.

I have used the guido for turkey at ground level and I have used the hybrid for coyotes but I have yet used it while bowhunting. I will be for gun hunting though.
