I always use a backup anyways, Usually 2 prusiks 1 long and 1 short just in case! But at least its a option if anyone is worried about the ropeman not holding!
 
Thanks for all the replys guys I am thinking we are gonna use two prusiks for now until I can afford some rope mans and then will back it up with a prusik

I like the idea of letting him try the srt but I think he would like it to much the kids already infatuated with saddle hunting lol
He's never even sat in a hangon stand only ladder stands and ground blinds so he thinks he's pretty cool and already trying to tinker and improve on dads design even though he thought I was crazy when I started messing around with the saddles

Gonna have to order some more prusik cord and some dynamic rope all we have left right now is some 10mm static
Any suggestions for a good easy to slide prusik cordage?

If you're going the prusik route make sure it's at least 2mm smaller than your rope. But be carefull with the prusiks on dynamic because the diameter of the rope decreases during dynamic elongation. Make sure you do a fall test with what ever cord you choose. On dynamic you should test up to a three foot fall.
