I agree with @redsquirrel

I've sold items in the classifieds or Fbook before and said I would ship them "on Monday". Then life got in the way and I didn't make it.

This one does feel a bit fishy though.

Sucks to hear this! I am a new member of the site and have already bought and traded several items. The item I traded was straight up on the honor system, the guy could have easily just not shipped his part of the trade to me but he did as I figured he would. I feel like everyone I have dealt with on here has been true to their word. I would of probably have my guard down as well just from the great dealings I've had thus far. Everyone has text me pictures of the receipts with the tracking numbers and has communicated great. Really hate to see one idiot ruin the trust of a lot of forum members.

Regardless of the outcome here, I'm extremely impressed with the generosity of people on this forum and how quick people have been to offer help to a fellow hunter. I have not really seen this on other forums I'm involved with. You guys are awesome!

Y’all, I am a bit overwhelmed by the generosity. It is an amazing community and has been since I joined. I guess that is why I was surprised.

But let’s see how it plays out. Still seems fishy to me. I know life can get in the way but you have to communicate if possible. If you take a couple of hundred dollars from someone, tell them one thing will happen and it doesn’t and then you don’t inform them or respond to them.

I am probably a little jumpy too. My wife had her debit card skimmed at a gas station in July. It all just feels really wrong. And started to after it happened. That voice is right a lot of times.

Two things I cant stand are liars and thieves. When I saw that original thread I thought it seemed fishy. Hopefully it works out to be not a scam but it screams scam to me. Great to see everyone joining together to try and help out. I would if I could but a retirement budget is very tight.

I know about life getting in the way. Working, have 15 month old twins, selling a house, buying a house, moving... etc... It takes about 5 min to send a message to the person you just took a couple of hundred dollars from and tell them you have been delayed a little. I really hope I am wrong.

Hopefully this all works out. Nothing worst than a thief. Hate to see something like this happen here but unfortunately as we grow things like this are to be expected from time to time. It’s just about impossible to weed out all the undesirables until it’s too late.

This.....it's unbelievable that your able to do this. I belong to several forums and none of them let you interact with the classifieds until x amount of days or posts. Still not a guarantee but at least there's some exposure.
