New to the saddle hunting method.I have a kestrel on the way and was wondering how long it took to get used to shooting from a saddle vs tree stand. Any recommendations to shorten the learning curve will be appreciated

Same boat, I'm wondering same thing. Do most folks sit, stand, lean forward, back when shooting? How much clearance is there from your bridge to bowstring?

I have been practicing in the yard. I may be alone on this one but I find it easier and more stable then standing or sitting in a hang on.
It's definitely more stable than any other elevated hunting system out there.

If you trust your saddle to hold you then shooting is easier
As a new saddle hunter practice hanging in any position you may want to shoot and then try your bow
