Simple question, unsure of the answer. I found an area with monster size trees and a bunch of saplings. I’m trying to find basket ball size trees, and a little smaller is no problem. But how small will you experienced one stickers go up? Softball size?

Seems like the only right sized trees are severely leaning…..rather not ground blind it but I may have to.

I was in a softball size one today. Not bad. Depends on the teeth of your standoff. But any smaller than that not going to give you enough contact points. JMHO

So if it’s big enough to bite I guess. Maybe not much cover, but it should hold us. THe one tree I found in a nice spot ain’t much bigger than a softball, but seemed doable. I didn’t hunt or climb, just scouting.

It is a case by case call. If your stick grabs and tree doesn't bend, HUNT IT. If you can, bolts are a great option for saplings.
