Planning to get in the woods while visiting family around Albany,GA. Wasn’t able to get down & scout around Labor Day like I wanted, have been hitting the maps hard though. If anyone has any advice for that area, say an hour around Albany, hit me please.

The deer there are usually wide open the first week of December The two WMAs closest to there are Chickasawhatchee and Elmodel I have killed a few really nice deer over the years on Chickasaw Good place to hunt with lots of different types of terrain Plenty of deer hogs and turkeys Good Luck

Yeah I’ve looked at those- Chickasaw has a youth hunt that week so it’s out for deer, still may take the muzzleloader for hogs..

Elmodel or Flint River if you don’t mind archery equipment.
Hannahatchee has a open rifle hunt and it’s about an hour away. Never stepped foot on it myself but it’s produced as good a deer as I’ve seen from that area.
