You also don't necessarily need to flip up your linemans belt. Or even raise both sides of the lineman's belt at the same time. You can slowly roll it up from one side. This will increase your stealth

Another option is to use a rope squeeze or cross your linemans belt in front of you. The latter is easy to do and will significantly limit your fall.Following along as I am about at the same point. Had first two climbing sessions this week maybe a half hour each. Definitely going to take some time investment getting confidence in them. I think I am going to start using a tether instead of just my linemans knowing when I gaff out the fall will come a lot easier.
