Obviously tether girth hitched around trunk will support me , & I have rappelled off of the same set up, I am wondering if it is safe to ascend the rap line SRT if I left it set from previous rap. Alot of limbless trees here .
 
Yes, you can ascend your rappel line with the proper equipment. Many guys on this site are doing just that by pre setting trees with pull up rope and pulling their climbing rope up when they get to the tree. It is a very safe and fun way to get back into the tree.

I wouldnt leave it out for extended periods of time though, Squirrels like to chew on ropes from what ive seen.
