Srt Rope

What kind of trees and how big are the tree limbs? Given that you'll be on the ground accessing stands, a base anchor will probably be the easiest since you don't have to worry about working your line around tree limbs.

I have preset parcord loops tied in various trees already.

What is the difference between the canyon elite and the CI-V?

Is sterling Htp 9mm too stiff for Srt?

I believe it is that the elite is more flexible, like an oplux. C-IV is stiffer. Softer or stiffer ropes can both be used for SRT, it all comes down to personal preference. I used a softer rope initially, but then switched to the C-IV due to it being lighter, more packable, and it's weather resistant properties.

I like the 9mm Canyon Elite from EWO for SRT. The 8mm Rescuetech is nice for rappel only in my opinion as it is a softer and more pliable rope. It does really pack up nice.
These are the two I’ve used, currently on the resctech. I’m not sure which I’ll get for my longer length and SRT rope which will be my next climbing method. I love both for one sticking and rappelling. Jammy cord makes great prussik and other friction hitches too. I like the resctech so much, I’ll probably go with that…….not sure yet

BTW-I have my first paracord preset, but have a few other places I know they’ll go. I applaud you getting started! Good luck and be safe!

Oh no....now u done it.
Disclaimer: I can't answer srt/drt/jrb or anything like that questions....

I purchased 80ft of 9mm blue water from wood hunting saddles and 2 7mm sewn eye (VT whatever that means) hitch ropes.....I can only compare against muddy rope and rescutec....muddy rope isn't comparable due to its lower quality...rescutec is smaller/packs better, and I have no complaints other than my piece is only 30 something foot long and I'm gonna be climbing really high up in some big pines this year for observation sits.
The rope itself is 9mm but on the smaller side....it has a very rough sheath like the htp rope but blue water more supple...it's like half way between rescutec and htp...swabalabadingdong hitch functions very smooth.

Weldabeast's dano/nutter satchel get really high setup

How long are those eye-to-eye's?
I didn't see them on the website.
