No, I never really went back to this to get the kinks worked out. the kinks are rather minor, though. Without the bungee you can just use your hand. When the bungee works it is such a smooth ascent. The other kink is that as you get higher and close to your hitch point, the rope is so close to the tree that it can be more difficult to climb.
For now I am preferring to use RADS, mainly because I have all that gear. I also think I want to keep my climbing setup (RADS) separate from hunting setup (tether with Kong Duck). This is in anticipation of the tie in point of the climbing rope being different than the height I want to hunt at.
This is all speculation and yard practice. Haven't tried this in the field!
