One thing that I did not care for about my set up was not have a dependable way of carrying my sticks up a tree on my saddle. I just want to have the ability to grab my sticks off my saddle and set them up rather than grabbing them from my backpack. I have seen things like 3D printed pieces for attachment, paracord, etc. However, one interesting thing I came across was the Duo Clipeez from Tethrd.

I was just wondering what attachments people preferred the most and if anyone was using that Duo Clipeez to hang your sticks on. Appreciate the feedback.

I got some EWO kydex clips as a throw-in from another member on a random purchase, and those suckers are bar none the easiest way to carry a stick. All you need is a loop of amsteel or paracord on the stick and you can find that kydex hook behind your back and in the dark no problem. No bulk either.

That is also a really good idea. Thank you!

Those who hang their sticks, what do you with your platform? I got an ITO clip for my EDP which doesn't leave much room for sticks. My plan is to use a sling to carry the sticks and then remove them as I go, though I have a feeling this will be more difficult than I imagine.

I keep it in my predator pack, but unclip the top so it comes out freely just reaching over my shoulder. I use a Nite Ize tie to hang it from the lineman rope when attaching to the tree, and on the way down I twist the Nite Ize to my lineman loop.

when i used sticks, i did the same thing (paracord on sticks and kydex clip on saddle, one per side)

here's a few additions...

the kydex were a bit too tight...if you find them too tight or too loose.....run them under hot tap water and shape them to your desired grab on the paracord loop

play around with the location of the loop on your sticks so that it holds them how you'd like to your side

i used 4 sticks (now a steps guy to save weight, until i buy some ultralight sticks)

i placed one on the tree from the ground, clipped a stick to each side with the kydex clips, for the second stick on the tree though i rigged an elastic cord with the ball end so that it held one of my sticks horizontal on my pack on the top of it (you can buy packs of these thin tie downs with ball ends cheap and fasten to your pack and decrease the size of the elastic cord to what works)

i would move one of my sticks to that location on the top of my pack, once i was ready to climb

second stick on the tree was the one off my pack, it is easy to reach around and grab the stick with one hand and release the ball from the elastic with the other

then just use your sticks hanging off your sides to complete the climb.....worked really well, i'll do this again if i get back into sticks....everything was quiet and handy

I second the EWO kydex clip and paracord method.
For the platform I have it on my pack, just fling my pack around, grab it, and fasten to the tree. When I used a cam strap I would use the strap as a sling an wear it like a bandolier.

This is super good information. Thank you very much.

When I walked in with 3 sticks, my DIY single step aider Attached to the top of the stick and made a great sling for carrying them in. After taking them apart and attaching first stick, I put one on each side of my saddle, platform on back of saddle the whole time. I used gear ties and they worked fine.
I now walk in carry my one stick and my platform hangs on my side. I have a small loop of paracord on my platform and one of those clips from EWO On my saddle. If I used 3 sticks again, I’d use those clips and paracord loops for sure! They are very user friendly!

EWO clips and a loop of paracord on a stick works pretty well. For a platform Genesis 3D makes a great hanger, I have one for my Predator and couldn’t be happier. Easy to remove and add, but it doesn’t come free unless you mean it and it doesn’t sling around.

What are people doing with the skeletors in particular. My old XOP I had a shoulder strap on that worked well but I'm thinking there is a better way to hang the sticks on my saddle as I climb.
