Is that an app?

CNBC is an app that has good news, futures, and decent stock info on certain equities and funds.

Morningstar is an app that does great research on stocks. Always look at the Morningstar report before I consider buying something new.

Schwab is just who I have my account with. They have been great and they are hard to beat. And they have an awesome app as well. If you do sign up for a Charles Schwab account let me know and I can give you a link and we will both get a little sign on bonus. I’m sure it’s not much but better than nothing.

I suggest you get on investopedia.com and read some. They can pretty much answer all your questions with their articles and website.

No day trading for me but It's been a good few months. I'm 32 and it's allowed me to move my retirement projection spreadsheet up from 57 to just under 55 which is my goal! For the past 7-8 years prior to the Rona crash I mostly just rode out the index funds feeling that was better than stock picking, but I've been getting back into individual stocks trying to find some value as I feel the indices are high right now. Still have about 85% of my 401 and IRAs in VOO and VUG with a scattering of stock picks. I am starting to accumulating more cash though in anticipation of November events likely being another buy opp. I wasn't quite as cash-poised as I felt I should haven been when Rona hit.

I have a vacation/toy fund with fidelity rewards points and a little more I kick in here and there that I've started do some more speculative stuff with. Losing CC rewards seems way less impactful than losing "real" money somehow, haha. Still holding but currently killing it with SOLO and NIO. Got in at 1.05 with a good lot of SOLO. I'm not sure what my exit point on either is, needing to do another DD.

Moved sell limit on TLT to 165.50. Current price 163.83.

Been a good few months made enough just screwing around having fun to pay for a black tail hunt on kodiak island

Damn...I thought I was finally getting ready to get rid of that crap composite stock I bought for my 1187...
Post a limit at which you are willing to sell. Maybe someone will bid your asking price. :D

Friend of mine made $88k on Fedex options yesterday. Options is essentially gambling, but that kind of win just makes me sick.

I had some incredible runs with options trading the London whale debacle with JP Morgan a few years back and the banks and auto stocks in the years after the crisis subsided.

but yeah, options is 100% gambling. If you trade the VIX as an insurance policy against your broader portfolio that’s different, but if you are otherwise just trading, then ya you are gambling

it’s a lot of fun and you can make some incredible money. But I think some people get caught up in technical analysis and the MAs and trade options and think they are investing. Well your not investing. You own a contract, you don’t own rights to corporate earnings like you do when you own stock. You own a contract and it could become worthless.

good times though. Good luck to anyone trading. This is a great market to trade right now.

I made 30K back in 1990 buying OEX puts when Saddam Hussein invaded Iraq. I was going to quit my job and become a millionaire. Lost the 30K over the next year but was still paying off the car I bought with it. I am more careful now.

I have 100 GLD I bought a month or so ago. I currently have $655 in profit so I bought it $6.55 lower than 168.73. My sell limit on GLD is 174. That is all I have right now. I bought 100 LOW a week ago and sold it for $522 gain. I resigned from my part time job at Lowes and am now fully retired . I am just trying to earn a little extra saddle hunting spending money using my past experience.

The classic book on stock trading. I should read it again.
Another great book. It is amazing people did not believe how he did it even after showing them all his broker statements.
