Stopper knot needed/advisable?

I'm using Canyon C-IV for my tether/rappel line, and I've tied a delta link to it with a poachers knot. Should I retie it leaving a longer tag end and add a stopper knot?

The poachers and scaffold knots seem very secure and I've not seen them come loose - just wondering what the SH wisdom would recommend.

Obviously, a stopper knot can’t hurt. If a scaffold knot fails, it is because it capsizes in the other direction (like over a skinny quick link). If you are using a delta link (triangle shape), you should be good with a short (3”ish) tail after loading the knot.

I am running a delt link with a scaffold no stopper knot on my repelling/lifeline rope.

I use a figure eight and always have a stopper knot. Figure 8 is bullet-proof and the stopper is an added safety, but not required. Can’t be too careful with these things though. I get too spooked when I see people with 1/2” of tag off their knots.

Just saw this and wanted to chime in. The short answer is no, if you have tied and set it properly, a Scaffold or Poachers doesn't need a backup. Neither does a Figure 8. These knots are all considered intrinsically secure. However, they all need an adequately long tail, 10x the rope diameter is a good target, or a couple inches for anything. So often, I see them tied with almost no tail, and I cringe! If I bought something from a supplier which is sold that way, it would make me question the integrity of the supplier. My video:
