Superday or Diablo dos??

Which do you guys like better for saddle hunting? Carrying gear? Sticks? Size of each?

Neither. I owned both (kept the superday but as a daypack not for hauling gear).

Superday is not really a load bearing pack, though you can carry 10 WE stepps, predator platform, and mantis saddle but I won’t go so far as to say it’s comfortable for long hikes.

Diablo DOS is just the superday with a curved hypervent frame. If the frame wasn’t curved it would be more practical for hauling, but as such it’s not really great for hauling items like sticks.

If you have to have a badlands pack I would look at the Ascent or 2200 both which have more traditional frame hauling capabilities.

All I'm really carrying are 4 cut down hawk heliums, my saddle, linemens belts and tether and light jacket and small stuff...been looking at the superday for a while..and not going on any 3 or 4 day trips

Check out the mystery ranch pop up. It’s a load hauler with 2 different size pack options for day packs. I think it’s going to be my next pack once I find one used after the season. You can haul sticks and platform on the load shelf and collapse it down at the tree so it’s smaller once up in the tree.

I went with the superday and really like it. It fits all I need for a day hunt. I have 8 WE Stepps, predator and mantis. I'm able to carry extra stuff and I like the versatile pocket options. Theres plenty of room. I like the bed roll for larger clothing during the cold season.

I dont see this as a preferred option to carry out an animal. Yes, it would work however I think a pack with a dedicated frame would be better.

The majority of my hunting is done on private land with access to vehicles for meat hauling. That's why I went with the superday.

So far it's a great pack. Well made and you cant beat the lifetime warranty. My ONLY complaint so far is they didn't incorporate an outside mesh pocket to hold a water bottle. Theres one for a water bladder but not one for a standard bottle. I'd buy this pack in a heartbeat and would recommend it to anyone looking for a great hunting pack.

Patriot...I'm hauling 4 cut down heliums...think it is sturdy enough for that plus kestrel and miscellaneous items

I have the superday, I really like it for the most part. Only thing i dont like is that the chest strap rides up to my neck, have to pull it down often

I've never had sticks before but I cant imagine it being a problem. I actually put 8 WE stepps inside of my pack when I hike in. I bet the heliums would be no problem as they are very light. It would probably work really well because there are 3 sets of straps on the outside of the pack to synch them down with instead of some packs that only have 2. I haven't given the pack a full durability test but it seems really tough. I dont worry about abusing the pack because of the lifetime warranty.

Here's my setup with the superday. Everything on the table is now in my pack. With exception of the range finder and release.

This is my late season set up for hunting in MN. It's a little tight but not bad and I can hunt comfortable all day. When it's not super cold I have plenty of room for extra gear.

I'll carry my bow with me in my hand.
