Man y’all are making me real jealous my season was cut short haha it’s rained everyday here in Washington so far.

I was itching to kill today. Passed this guy earlier last week but he came out in my lap today and unfortunately for him I was blood thirsty.

I have an hour to hunt tonight.
Spotted a spike while climbing up about 60 yards away. Made another move or two and noticed there was a doe about 40 yards away. Both deer kept their direction and never knew I was there...
I just don’t get the guys that say one-sticking is too noisy?
Almost dark now but I have tomorrow and Sunday to hunt.

This weekend was MD's youth season. I hunted with my 12 yr old until about 10am, when he decided he was done. We had one decent buck get by us without giving him a shot. After I took him home I went back out and was 20 yds shy of potentially adding 8 points to our score. Path of hot doe in red (in stick bow range). Path of 3 yr old 10 point chasing her in green (not in stick bow range).

I have had three encounters with 3+ yr old deer this year, two of them under 35 yrds. Plus an encounter with a 2 yr old 8 point that I had decided I was going to shoot seconds before two pit bulls came busting out of the brush and scared him off. Years like this are both fun and frustrating at the same time.
