Congrats on the doe @WISCO! And awesome buck for your pops @PEEJAY.

It’s been slow going around here, I’ve been out a couple times but haven’t been much movement yet. Trying to keep the wife happy with a 4 month old at the house, trying to earn some brownie points so I can cash them in come December when thinks pick up.

I know how that goes, I have three older kids and an 8 month old at home. I am blessed to get one day a week to hunt. I do have 8 of the 9 days off for the rifle season though. Plan on hitting it hard every day for that buck. This will be my first year rifle hunting this piece of public so I am curious / nervous to see how many people come out on it for rifle. I have a few spots I plan on hunting that I believe people wont venture into due to the thickness / terrain. Rifle opens on 12/19.

Got out for my first sit in Alabama and got an arrow in a small buck. Arrow was bloody but couldn’t find any on the ground, looked around for a half hour or so and got out. Gonna check back in the morning and hopefully find him piled up.

Well I never found that buck but I did get a picture of him a couple days later. Think I hit brisket. I did get out this morning and doubled up on a doe and a funky guy that didn’t need to do any breeding. Unfortunately was sitting on the ground in a chair. We have a problem with one antlered deer at our place but there’s at least one less of them out there now. Had fun fishing this afternoon since I was tagged out for the day.

@MattMan81 It’s an old Trophy Line TreeSaddle that @redsquirrel gave me years ago to get me out of an Andersen Tree Sling. I have added a new bridge, lineman’s belt and Carhart suspenders to keep it up. I’ve used newer models but they put too much pressure on my old spine and sciatic nerve!
