Has anyone had any positive hunting encounters during this heat wave?
Just got home from Iowa...well the bucks were cruising for three days...i saw andcim not kidding 13 bucks from 120 to 170....was a awesome experience...the heat didn't stop the buck movement

I went in my man room to grab some warm wool socks from my hunting stuff for the hospital stay. As I was walking out I saw all my totes of gear and I may have just went through my saddle hunting stuff to see if there was anything I might need. It really passed through my head to bring some paracord, cause you never know when you might need some. :tearsofjoy:

Praying for a smooth delivery and a healthy baby. Nothing compares to what your about to go through. PS. Think maybe you should have grabbed some of that paracord just in case.

I did pack snacks like an all day sit. I’ve been through 2 Kind bars, two apples and a Lara bar to keep up energy. I’ve been 10.5 hours “on stand”. A few flurries of activities but mostly slow. Expecting it to heat up in a couple hours. Looking forward to posting a cradle and grin photo later.

How’s that all day sit going?
Well it was cut short by the neighbors shooting what sounded like their deer rifles for the upcoming firearms opener this weekend. Before the gun fire started, I had a buck sneak in down wind of me. He either smelled me or saw my bow move when I reached for it.
