IMG_4973.jpegIMG_4972.jpegIMG_4971.jpegMy brother was able to get it done last night for the velvet hunt. I am so happy for him. We didn’t have this hunt when I lived there and I’ve been pulling for him every year to get one. He was standing in the tobacco barn on our family land and made a 35 yard shot into the field in the drizzling rain. Deer made it 60 yards before collapsing.

Congratulations! So cool to take one on the old family place.

Tobacco barn, drizzling rain….I have to ask was this killed in northern Middle TN? Don’t answer if you don’t want to. I ask because you described our weather and surroundings where I live. Tell your brother congrats. I choose not to hunt this weekend, but love seeing the pictures. They get me fired up for the bow opener.

Amazing! im jealous too. Ive been trying to get one in velvet here in TN for several years now.

I absolutely love the velvet hunt, it either produces for me or I get very close every year

This was in far east Tn. 300 acres in the mountains.
