Been playing around with some vet tape wrapped around the D-rings and it works great very simple to install.

what are yall doing about the leg straps loop
Where did you get the tape at?
I havnt really had trouble with noise from the D-Rings on my ESS as much as I have had trouble with the weight of them pulling my panels apart while walking causing the lower panel to ride down.
I was able to fix this problem by going on the Treehopper website and purchasing a Recon Saddle.. Problem solved..

The panel sag on the Recon is horrible compared to the ESS.

Agree however flipping the panels resolved the sag for me.

So I just got my Ess after having a mantis and doing a bunch of research as to which saddle I needed vs modding the mantis. After playing in a tree in the backyard ive set everything up "my way" but can you explain how you did this in the rings? Did you just wrap them or did you use the socks in the first couple of pics? From what I can tell it looks like you cur the sock in half and placed it over the d ring after making some type of slip in the front for the bridge to come out and move? Im assuming you sewed the back half of the sock as well as where the bridge came out? Just trying to figure it all out from your posts. Any info or directions would help , you can pm me if thats better.thanks

So you stopped using the Ess entirely? Or you went back to the sock instead of the vet tape? If you stopped entirely what made you switch and to which saddle did you switch? Sorry for all the questions just wondering about all my optionsYes I basically used the end of a black sock to cover the D-rings just as you described.
I did cut a slit in the back to allow it to slide over the bridge and then sewed up the back side.
I later tried vet tape wrapped around the D rings and that also works and was much quicker to do but I no longer use the ESS after doing that fix so I can’t speak on the longevity of the vet tape over the D rings.

I see you cut the web bridge off your ESS and put a utilibridge on it....I'm going to do the same thing. Just ordered one from cruzr. It looks rough, but I put a strip of stealth strips on the tip/outside part of the rings. Then pieced stealth strips everywhere else. The pics were mainly for the new bridge but should help explain what I mean. I’ve hunted out of it twice and never had any noise. Bridge still slides like it should by just putting the SS on the outside.
