Tethrd Knee Pads

I shelled out the dough. Here’s my thoughts after one sit with them.

My knees don’t hate me anymore.

They were excellent. Comfortable in all regards. Walking in and climbing and kneeling against the tree.

I can’t think of one complaint, except price. But I thought as I was in the tree, when these wear out, I’d buy them again.

Biggest thing for me is that was I noticeably stiller. The comfort let me stay still longer.

If you are considering them, spend the money. Spend once, cry once, is that how that goes?

Good to hear. I shelled out the money for the Latitude outdoors knee pads and they were also excellent! I never would have thought a high quality knee pad would make that much difference.

Agreed. I went latitude. Buy once cry once. They only thing not crying is my knees. They stay up great on walk in, don’t even notice them on.

I had the tethrd, trophyline, latitude and arcteryx

The Tethrd kneepads are my favorite followed by the latitude. My biggest issue with the latitude kneepads is because they are soft after a short time you begin to feel every bump on the tree which became pretty uncomfortable.

After seeing the price of these other knee pads, the Tethrd’s don’t seem as bad.

I may step up at some point, but so far those tough guard foam pads from Wally World have certainly sufficed. I have 2 pair and at under $5 a pair they are painless to purchase too. They are just foam but are actually comfy and quiet.. I did replace the Velcro straps with straps with clips…..I take no Velcro with me into the woods.

I have these and a pair of the Tethrd ones. Tethrd ones are comfy and provide a lot of protection but since they are hard shelled can be a little wobbly with some trees depending on how much curvature there is.

The hyper tough brand I think from Walmart are actually very good for the price. $5 in my area. All foam, one strap. Since they are soft they sit in the tree better but I can feel the tree through them after a while. At that price though they are pretty great

I saw a set on Amazon that look to be nearly identical to the Tethrd knee pads without the texture on the caps and decent reduction in the price, was thinking about trying them out.

Those are the ones I had. I bought them pre-Covid for $20 on eBay new. They lasted Three seasons which I consider good for What I paid.

I used those for two seasons. Like @iamcorey I got them on Ebay for $20. They are not very thick, Theyhave less padding than the Arcteryx kneepads and the Tethrd version is supposed to have more than the Arcteryx.

Before I would spend $40 on those I would spend a little more and get these:https://www.floorsupplies.net/produ..._content=sag_organic&utm_campaign=sag_organic

They are the same thing as the Lattitude pads and are significantly better (more comfortable, stay up better and thicker padding) than the Emerson kneepads.

For some reason I can't get behind shelling out that money for knee pads after dropping all that money to get into saddle hunting. Right now I'm using a half cut seat cushion with a strap around the tree. Its been surprisingly comfortable. For now at least
