Anyone have any experience with both? Wondering if there are any advantages and/or disadvantages between the two.

I have both and wrote a quick review on this site. In summary, they are both excellent but I prefer the Amsteel daisy chain. They pack incredibly well and slide over the versa button slightly easier than the versa strap daisy chain. The versa straps are easier to throw around a large tree and can be used as an aider, which is nice. But, when I leave tomorrow for my 1 mile hike to my favorite spot, I will be using the Amsteel daisy chain.

Don’t have any experience with versa straps but I love my Amsteel daisy chains! Brother in law has versa straps, he tried my Amsteel and he is switching to Amsteel daisy chains lol

For what it's worth, I sold my VersaStraps and now use 1/4" Amsteel rope. I much prefer the rope mod.

For now, I have settled on the "buckless" method after trying daisy chain webbing. I suspect I would like an amsteel daisy chain better than a webbing one. Amsteel rope mod might also be better than "buckless", I haven't compared, but I do not feel the need to with already having the straps and it is working great.
