Many are getting into saddle hunting most everywhere! so if you are Texas hunters lets see your setup or give advise to how to's and safe way to saddle-up.

I'm in Texas but not sure I have much advice. I'm pretty new to it myself and still working on honing in on my ideal setup.

I bought my saddle(Cruzr) 2nd hand on TBH 2 years ago when I decided I wanted to give it a try. Also have a Cruzr Mini Seeker platform(along w a XOP Edge platform which I modified into a batwing shape to reduce weight significantly), Skeletor sticks w retractable aiders that I did myself and I've even survived using them a few times lol) and just got the new Cruzr Escape pack.

I typically saddle hunt public if I get drawn for E-postcard or NWR hunts through TPWD and then I saddle hunt at my lease instead of having set stands.

5th year in! Paris, Texas..
Buzzard Roost, eow one stick this year! So far the one stick is working great. Just used sticks in the past! First few times seemed like a had to many things to worry about.. not as fast up the tree, but much faster when it’s time to head out!
