What is everybody wearing for mid weight hunting pants? I have $200 to buy a mid season hunting pant for pa. I hunt lots of thickets so looking for durability. Also quiet. I’m not worried about sent as I hunt the wind. I’m looking for something good from 60s down to about 30 with a base layer. Doesn’t need to be wind proof but is a plus and so is being water repellent. Any input is appreciated.

I’d pick your outer pant and just layer underneath. The zip off long underwear and puffy pants are probably the biggest advance in clothing in years . Game changer
I have fort lite merino base layers. I’m just looking for an outer pant that can also be layered under my bibs.

Avoid the button in liners though, they’re too noisy for hunting.

The stone glacier de Havilland/de Havilland lite pants are on my hope to try next season list
These are hands down the best pants going right now. I have crushed them in SC, ID, ND, CO and Scotland and they are amazing pants. I find myself wearing them daily now all day every day. Add some merino under them and they are perfect down to freezing. I don’t know below that because I haven’t been in any deep snow or anything. I know several gigs wear them in those conditions in Alaska and have zero issues in them.

How loud are they though?

first light corrugate or north branch, kuiu kutana or axis.
I had thought about the corrugate but the complaints about the noise get me. I don’t have a good idea of how noisy they really are.

The material is very similar to the Kutana pants for noise levels.

Where they win out is the integrated belt and adjustable zipper system for layering or Thanksgiving dinner weight gain or loss in the field. Integrated knee pad holders if you want to add kneepads is really nice as well.

I have both the lites and the regular weight models. They just released a new light weight model I have yet to try out also that seems to be designed for summer time or early warm seasons.

I bought a pair of sitka timberlines at 50% of this last off season and been wearing them pretty strong since late October (way too warm for September and early October). Comfort and windproof factor have been second to none so far. Love it. However, I hunt a lot of thick briar areas and im starting to see threads pulled out nearly all over the pants. I'd expect that kind of wear maybe by the end of a second season or even a third. But not even done with the first season yet and im not sure these pants are gonna make it! Id be sick if I paid full price at this point. Just my humble opinion.

Love the Sitka Timberlines. Thinking of buying a second pair. I primarily wear them when I still hunt / track in northern Maine.
