So, today I shot a thumb release for the first time in my life. I had no intentions and have always shot a wrist strap release. A buddy of mine saw I was at the indoor range and stopped in.
I went to pull arrows and he had disappeared. He comes back with a three finger Carter thumb release and says “try this.” I was hesitant to say the least but I figured since I film hunts the pros outweighed the cons. Clipped that bad Larry in and wow. First string of 4 were slammed tight into the bull.
Needless to say I’m hooked. There goes my money. BUT, before I pull the trigger (no pun intended)I wanted to get some opinions on here.
Let’s hear the good, bad, and ugly. Suggestions?! I shot the three finger but I hate having a finger floating. So leaning towards a 4 finger. I don’t know anything about them and my buddy suggested a Carter Chocolate Addiction.
Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks guys!
