I have four muddy sticks. I also have the predator platform. To keep it light I was considering leaving the platform at home and use the two steps on the top of my muddy stick to stand on. Anyone else something similar to this?

I had a couple of sits this fall before I received my Predator platform that I just stood on my Hawk Helium sticks. And have even done it once since I received my platform. These were all just morning or evening sits so for a few hours only, although I was fine with just standing on the top of my sticks for these hunts. You have slightly less range for shots and sacrifice a little comfort but I wouldn't shy away from it if it makes the most sense for you.

Did it all last season, but I'll carry the 2lbs or whatever it is to be able to pivot comfortably and have something with more surface area for my feet.

Now if you have branches to put your feet on that's different.

I made a few hunts last year with just my sticks (API) and some sits with a ROS and really disliked my foot comfort. The platform changed the game for me and I can make so many adjustments with my feet I can sit all day. My .02

Buy a stacked outdoors stick. They are wider so it is like a built in platform.

I’m a ROS guy, but I used a Stacked Outdoors stick in the middle of my bolt ROS last weekend and kind of liked it.

I’ll use the bottom of my last muddy stick for my feet and then my knees rest against the top steps and it’s super comfortable you should try it. I then wrap my ring of steps level with the bottom of my stick standoffs. Works really well for a lightweight setup.
