Trail cam Batteries

I have no idea about cell cameras but my regular trail cams get 10 months out of alkaline batteries. They'll take thousands of pictures in that time. Alkaline cost is about .75 each on sale. That's about 7 bucks a year per camera. That's so cheap I don't consider anything else.
Also, my cameras take pictures without regard to temperature. Central Illinois so we rarely go below -10.
 
Cams have been out over a month and still showing 90% with those rechargeable lithium packs. If they drop to 40 bucks again I'm gunna buy a boatload of them. I still can't believe what lithiums cost. For me to put them in all 13 of my cams it'd be close to 500$ a year in batteries alone. That's insane. You could grab them at Sam's club 18 pack for 19$ just two years ago
 
Thought Id put one final update to this thread if you were interested. I run my cams from Sept to now, right before the orange army hits the woods. Being big woods I only average 2-20 pics a day per cam. Every single one of the energizer alky cams are at 90% and above. I had no issues with cold weather either. The coldest it got was 19 and they performed flawlessly. Im beyond happy I can save the money and not buy lithiums. The 1 solar panel I ran is still at 100 since September and that cam got the most pictures. Roughly 1k. The 3 lithium rechargeable packs are really hit or miss and explain the wishy-washy customer reviews. 2 of them are at 800 and 950 pics and both sit at 80%. Very happy. Another one only got 500 pics and it's at 30%. gonna send them an email and see what they say.
