On smooth and hard bark trees the latitude sticks were atrociously noisy. I thought they set pretty solid though.

My experience with any of the plastic stuff I've tried is since they don't dig in, they sort of float up and down. Not dangerously, but enough that it makes me paranoid about squeaking.
I'll probably be using my 14" LWCG this year too. I gravitate back to the hawk sticks every year because they were dirt cheap and I have a pile of them, so when I want to experiment with different things I go straight for that stack and start cutting/drilling. We'll see if I can resist the urge for last minute mods right before the season starts(or after season starts).I tried them at a meet up. I felt they made more noise then my LWCG sticks. But all sticks make some noise when you set them.

There's nothing out there. Don't you think that's a bit concerning when their launch date is a week away. As much as I'd like to be gung ho about these, the company's lack of communication doesn't inspire any confidence.

thank you for the precision! Happy to know I get an allowance of 9 grams dirt or about 40 drops of rain (or 7" of stealth strip) on the stick before I pass that dangerous 16 ounce mark.
