Trophyline (older versions)

I hunted out of the Trophyline for 14 years and switched to a flex this year. I like the flex but comfort wise there isn’t that much difference. I don’t think you can expect to be comfortable in anything when you sit all day. It’s just something you do to kill deer. I always laugh when people complain about comfort. It’s more mental than anything and if your first priority is comfort you aren’t going to kill many deer.

I agree I have all the old models and find the road trips to be the most comfortable of the vintage models!

I have an ambush......love to have an road trips model.....I've heard that they were the best ones made. The ambush isn't bad for short sits.

LOL Any stand gets gets uncomfortable after being so still......but......some are better than others, even saddles....I'd love to try a jx3.

Thats why I have a bed of nails and broken glass in my truck driver’s seat. I do it in the off season to mentally prepare myself for hunting season. Oh yeah and I limit my bowel movements to 1 per week. (kinda like happy Gilmore at the batting cages)

I hunted out of my TL Ambush from 2006 until 2017. I like mesh so i replaced it with a KITE size 2. Also weight wasn't an issue because i don't run leg or shoulder straps so my Ambush is light weight. The Kite is more comfortable but that is not the reason why i switched up. The 3 reasons are...

A) I wanted/needed a saddle with a waste belt for climbing limbless trees when i use my LWHC and i wasn't going to mod the Ambush.

B) I wanted to preserve it in a way, lots of history together.

C) I wanted a spare saddle just in case.

Any one mod the standard linesman belt that was standard for older trophyline ambush? Would one trust speedy stitcher to mod it yourself or tie a knot in the 2 in webbing?

I still hunt out of the old neoprene Trophyline with a amsteel bridge and I still use the old linemans belt on certain occasions!!!!!
