Makes total sense. My response did not lol. When I use sticks I have to take my pack off and hang them individually off my saddle. When I use my WE stepps I do not have to take it off
Thanks. I think I am gonna play with a way to get the sticks on the bottom of the pack individually. Something like stick talons.

Does anyone running the Platow pack have any issue with your bag, sticks, or waist belt hitting your pouches on your side? I’m running into this issue.

Mines run pretty high on my low back, most of my straps are cinched up. I also find wearing chest strap and belt on the wall/climb keeps it up out of the way.

Make sure the buckles across the top of pack are buckled too. I run the middle one underneath the bag handle.

I do what many others have already said… get to tree, remove sticks from straps in the underside of the pack, hang first stick with 3 step aider, hang other 2 sticks from molle loop on hip, climb set climb set, reach over my back and remove platform, set and done. On the way down I usually just attach my platform to my hip and then reattach to my pack at the base of the tree, just find it easier

So I bought the platow and got 2 hunts in it this past weekend. First impressions are that it looks like a tangled mess whenever it's not on you, not a bad thing though since it always picks up fine. It is plenty comfortable, seems to be well made and the fabric is soft and quiet. My goal of being able to hit the tree and climb without taking pack off is achieved with this. The pack wore very comfortable while walking in/climbing. The hip belt and shoulder straps are about perfect for the design of the pack. Padded a little bit but light and soft so it doesn't interfere with the saddle much while walking/ climbing.
For K.D.P., I thought the hip belt may get in the way of my pouches as well but it stays pretty well clear of them. I put pack on and kind of lean forward to get the hip belt up on my waist and cinch it down, lean back to upright and then pull the shoulders tight and snap the sternem strap. I had enough room to hang sticks off gear ties in front of my accessory bags and also room to get in the bags to grab tether, linesman, gear strap etc.may work for you as well.

Any of you running this pack? I hunted with a buddy this weekend out of close tree's for filming this weekend. He used 3 wild edge steps and a 5 step moving aider to climb. What impressed me was the speed at which he was able to go from arriving at tree to up at hunting position. He never had to take his pack off to fiddle with much of anything. The wild edge steps aren't my thing and I'm sticking with some tethrd sticks though. Was looking at this pack and wondering how easy it would be to show up at a tree and be able to grab my sticks off the top or bottom of pack, and then your platform off shoulder area without having to drop or remove the pack. The concept of the pack looks like it wouldn't be hard but wanted some insight from other owners before I try one. Also looks like the sitka tool belt is similar design. I like my kuiu pack but I figure this trophyline pack could be a more streamlined option for when I'm either not hunting very long, or don't need many extra layers.
What aider was he using and how did he attach it to the steps?

I've been pleased with mine. I carry 4 novix mini's and can unclip them without taking my pack off. I carry my platform up the tree and can get it off after I'm up the tree. The shoulder straps are a little tight which makes them loud when cinching them down.
I really wish it had a handle on the top of the backpack straps. I still am not sure why there's not one there.

I bought one last year. My findings are using it last year and the first couple of weeks of the season. The stitching came out around the top of it at around the neck area. I found it to be very messy up with me hanging in the tree. The biggest thing for me was no matter how much I adjusted it I felt like it was always pushing my saddle off of me. I couldn’t take it anymore and got a cheap field line backpack from Walmart for $30 and have found to like it so much better than the platow.
