Thinking about this pack . I see there is room for a water bladder. When carrying sticks and platform (4 beast sticks and edp platform) is there room for outer layers if needed?
Is this pack worth it. I see alot have been resold in classifieds, curious why? Currently have a horn hunter g3 treestand pack which seems a little awkward at the moment. Thanks for any advice

Not sure I am much help, but I just bought one, and I think I am going to really like it. However, Im in the deep south so I dont carry many layers with me. With that said there are tie down straps on the bottom and the top. I think you could put a hoodie or an extra long sleeve shirt in the main compartment as well.

I bought one secondhand and tried to like it, but it’s hard to give up my backpack. I also feel like I was trying to carry to much when I was using it. Maybe I didn’t give a fair chance, but I went back to my trusty ole backpack for my setup.

I'm so in love with the platow pack. Here's what I've been carrying in mine-

-Main compartment-
Ultimate Predator Whitetail Decoy
Fourth Arrow Saddlelite Camera Arm
Sitka fanatic Beanie
Sitka Fanatic Neck Gator
Simms Foldover Mittens
Grunt call
Knight & Hale Pack Rack
Small Leatherman
26' Canyon Elite Rapel Rope
Madrock Safeguard
Hang Free Bridge
Rangefinder (sometimes in my coat pocket)
Patagonia Puffy Vest
Facemask

-Middle Zipper Pocket-
Headlamp
40' Dynaglide
Flashlight
3 AAA Batteries

-Top Compression Strap-
DIY stake I made to mount the decoy on
Antlers for the decoy
Sitka Fanatic Light Jacket

-Bottom Compression Strap-
EWO Ultimate One Stick
First Lite Puffy Pants (sometimes)

-Side Zipper Pocket-
Nikon Monarch 5 8x42 binos

-Side Stretch Pocket-
Water bottle

-Other Side Stretch Pocket-
Milkweed in Rx Bottle

-Platform Straps-
Unused, but I think you could use these to carry more layers if needed. I wish trophyline made a small add on bag that connected to these specifically for carrying clothes.

Not near my pack right now, but there are one or two other pockets that I don't use. I checked out the Cabela's Outfitter Series All-Day Transporter 1200 Fanny Pack last week, may give it a try but more out of curiosity than dissatisfaction with the platow. I'm almost through my second season, tons of pushing through briars and thorns and no fabric or sewing durability issues. My only quality complaint is the plastic they chose for the buckles. I haven't had any break yet but it's just a matter of time. I also cut off the buckle covers, they seemed to just get in the way of being able to tighten straps, replaced em with stealth strips.

I used the trophyline c.a.y.s. pack for the last 2 years and liked it but I'm more of a lumbar pack guy so I picked up a platow pack. It works great for me. I attached a predator pack to mine to carry my platform. If I'm using a preset I put a jacket in the predator pack. It also adds the ability to bring more layers because of the straps on the bottom of the predator pack

@deertrout covered it well. I came from a horn hunter g2 to a platow. I ultimately moved on as I wanted something a bit smaller and also realized for what I wanted to do I needed something more sturdy; I found myself constantly fighting with the straps.

@deertrout would post some pictures of how you setup your pack? I’ve tried a few configurations and still not satisfied with where everything is yet.
