I just got back from a morning hunt (opening day in MO) and my Platow was on my porch. I hurried up and switched everything from my regular early season pack to the Platow made a few adjustments and walked around the house, and I will tell you the Platow carried the weight way better then my mystery ranch 2 day assault pack. Can't wait to use it this weekend for a hunt. For reference I loaded it up with my EDP and a EWO one stick. If I was using 4 sticks it would not work very well in my opinion.

Do you have a picture? I just tried out a badlands monster with an EWO one stick and did not care for it. I’m not sure fanny packs are for me. The biggest pain was it rode right on top of my saddle.

I may run mine like this, but still trying to figure out if there is a benefit to attaching the predator pack. E24474E4-2FED-42FE-8AEC-6D9E1B7511C1.jpeg

How did you attach the predator pack?

How high can you climb with the 3 sticks?

The female end of the buckle on the Platow Pack is just small enough to slide into the plastic receiver for the shoulder straps on the top of the Predator Pack. I’m going to be adding 22 inch wire aiders to the beast sticks. I figure I should be able to get somewhere between 18-20 feet with three once they are added. I have 4 sticks now with no aiders, but want to get down to only using 3.

How do you like the pack for carrying the platform and sticks so far? I have 4 hawk helium minis I’m looking to use with the predator on this pack.

So far, I really like it. It actually carries the weight pretty well. I tried sticks on top as well, but think hanging them off the bottom straps works better. It can hold a lot more than you’d think. Right now I’ve got it loaded up at about 19 pounds.

I just hunted with the pack again last night and it is was great. I went through some of the thickest stuff I have ever walked through and did not get hung up on anything. What I really like about the pack, is I moved my dump pouches to the waist belt and now my saddle feels like it isn't even there. I wear my pack while climbing so I still have access to them like if they were on the saddle.

I copied this from my earlier post. It will work, but to me the bottom straps are the best option.

Set mine up different ways tonight and think I have it dialed in.
Tried the Beast minis strapped to my Mission and it packed ok. Pack was kind of a pain to get on due to the weight and the stick steps/stand offs can get hung on the straps causing more issues.
Settled on the Mission on the back straps and my 4 Beast minis strapped to the bottom of the pack. Like Bigcat said the sticks don't bounce off your thighs and what I think is the biggest benefit is getting the sticks unhooked without having to take your pack off. The platform can also be unhooked without taking the pack off.
I also moved my tether dump pouch and stick J clip holders from my saddle to the molle on the pack.
I'm sure I'll make more adjustments during the season but going to start here.
