TX5 Opinions

The top black molle is definitely stiffer. I believe it's actually something like seat belt webbing that is folded a certain way then stitched in place. They're pretty rigid. They're also the perfect size to receive a Doyle's hunting hoist.

Thanks for your help, what steps did you take to start the process with Matt? When I did the pouch I just contacted him on Facebook. Does he have a website or should I hit him up on Facebook again?

Man I believe they're trying to work through the TX5 Custom Gear FB page mostly until they get their website up and running. But I know people contact them through all different methods. Just be mindful that you may not get a response back right away. He tries to keep up with all of the inquiry's, but he's still got his primary job and his family that occupy his time as well.

Yeah, I'm in no hurry, gonna try and write down everything and take some new notes this season so maybe he can build me that perfect saddle, thanks for your help! Keep me posted how it does with some weight on it walking in.

That's awesome. What attracted you to the wolf skin? And do you care to elaborate on the features you're talking about? I know he's done some pretty interesting things on folks saddles with special requests. That's what I love so much about it. Once you have an idea of what you want, it's a great investment to make with that kind of customization available.

Why wolf skin? Well I don’t care for cordura and I have a mesh Cruzr XC and Iike the pattern and how it is soft and fleece like it is and and how quiet it is . I doubt it is as durable as mesh or cordura
Unique? The elastic pleat is unique.
The lower loops are fantastic for seeing gear in the pouches All saddles should have these.
The large gear loops
The available stick loops
The way it stays on my butt when loaded
The personalized sizing
The personalized leg or waist buckles
The webbing choices are personalized
The bridge is personalized. I have an oplux bridge.
The comfort is excellent
Plus Matthew is always experimenting.
He is innovative
And he is just a nice ordinary working man with a family and a side business.
He is flexible in the material you use.
But you really have to know what you want.

I would have to say the Cruzr XC is equal in comfort and lighter.
But it is not as well built and it is not personalized. I am however not saying the Cruzr XC is poorly built.
Matthews saddles are Aerohunter quality and weight but Cruzr XC comfortable

I’ve got a pair of fusion pants chilling in my closet. I’d love to do the same. What’s the top layer of black on your saddle? Just another set of bigger loops? Is there an adjustment anywhere to adjust the lower tension of your sitting or standing, like the Tethrd and other saddles have?

Yes another row of bigger molle. Yes there is a tension setup on the bridge loops. Haven't used mine though. Dead in the middle seems to be my spot.
