Ultra thin lightweight clothes

You can’t expect someone like @DaveT1963 to understand today’s fashion.. if you’re not in crocs, you’re not in style! Haha jk, I actually have a love/hate relationship with mine, love how comfortable they are and use them for slippers at home, but wouldn’t be caught dead in public in those things haha. They are Realtree camo at least, I can blend right into my surroundings while taking the trash out!
I actually dont have a pair. My 3 year old son has three...yes one in realtree!
Luckily come season around here it's somtimes pretty chilly. I wear old school mossy oak treestand chamois top and bottom, with a wicking shirt underneath. Cold days can either be an asbell blanket weight hoody, or cabelas wool trebark camo depending on my plan. I dont envy those who hunt when its super hot. We get a couple of those days early season bow and I dread them more then the below 0 days!

All the good lightweight stuff isn't gonna be cheap. You can get some good shirts from Academy, their Magellan brand is pretty good and not too expensive. I have some Sitka and KUIU, their pants are good and worth the money IMO. The Tiburon are the best pants for early season hands down. I will be buying me another pair as soon as I can. I also have a couple Sitka Ascent pants and Kuiu attack pants I picked up on sale and they are good as well. The hip vents on the Kuiu are the bomb. Cabelas microtex pants are good too and not as pricy as the other.
Merino wool is a good option for early season. I have a couple Kuiu lightweight merino shirts and love them. Got some of the peloton too but its a little more form fitting so I usually use it as a base layer.

Thanks for this, I’ll see what I can come up with

This! My price range for sure! Gonna look it up now!
Academy use to carry a game winner shirt, short or long sleeve that was polyester or nylon. It was kinda silky with little holes in it. I use to wear it alone on hot days or as a base layer when layering it felt great to skin. Don't see it on the website though. It was like $20 but after christmas went down to like $12. That was my goto before kuiu.

I’ve got some of the cheap silky feeling Redhead camo shirts that I wear. Doesn’t have any holes and takes forever to dry. It’s comfortable against skin, but feels like it holds sweat so bad. If it’s a 10mph wind, it feels pretty cool, but if not, feels like wearing a wet towel

Thats kinda how the academy shirts were. Wasn't quick drying.

Man you got me wanting to buy some dang Kuiu now......... my birthday is Thursday, then Father’s Day Sunday, then my anniversary is the 25th... maybe I can convince the wife I NEED it and I can tell her it will count for all three plus Christmas haha why don’t you just sell me yours for really cheap and I’ll let you figure out how to buy some new ones hahaha

I actually had the snap shirt on ebay but it didn't sale. You might not like the feel. Its not soft or silky. Kinda like a paper towel, maybe.... But it doesn't hold moisture. Super fast drying.

I think they did away with the game winner clothing line and its all Magellan now. Used to be Magellan was their fishing side and game winner was the hunting. Don't hold me to that though!

I believe this is the shirt I have. Probably gonna pick up a few more. As far as I can remember the shirt wicked away the sweat pretty well. I've had shirts like ya'll mentioned where it just sits there and they suck.

You won't regret the Kuiu. I went from wearing Cabelas/Academy pants to Kuiu and it is well worth the price in my opinion. Just buy some along and along when it goes on sale and it won't be near as bad. Kuiu used to have some awesome sales, I remember a few years back they had a Memorial Day sale with 20-30% off. Their sales haven't been as good lately...

Columbia makes a lightweight camo long sleeve T with Omnifreeze that turns cooler as soon a sweat hits it. The only shirts I wear in early now and turkey season.

Yeah that looks like the shirt I’m talking about with Magellan logos. Can’t be positive unless I seen it in person.
As far as kuiu, it’s not the most durable material for brush busting. You will get pulls and snags. Hadn’t tore any yet but got a few pulls. Just the nature of the 4 way stretch material. The thigh vents work great on the pants for dumping heat and so do the pit zips on the jackets. I don’t have to store my jacket in my bag any more. Wear everything in. Open the heat dump zippers on the walk in and once I cool down on stand, I zip them up. I’m addicted to kuiu as you can see. And yeah it’s over priced but I hate buying stuff that doesn’t work.

I’m thinking I might use my Sitka warm weather base layer shirt as my outer shirt early season... I know it’s “technically” supposed to be underwear, but it’s the lightest, thinnest thing I can find in long sleeve that won’t burn me out. (Short sleeves just lead to sunburns)

Heck, I might use my base layer bottoms for my full bottom layer if I get desperate

Thanks for all of yalls replies and advice, I ended up going with Nomand. I got their 1/4 zip shirt, their cooling shirt, and their all season pants. They have them on sale, and I was given a great coupon code so I got them insanely cheap. I wanted to go ahead and get way more stuff but they’re out of a lot of sizes this time of year. I’ll be sure to let everyone know what I think of it

And the code is?
I think ill copy your decision...lol - they are very reasonably priced

I would love to share it, but it was a one time use code another member gave me. They are about 50% off on their website now. I think the shirts were like $25 and pants were $30 I believe. Normally $50 and $60

Sorry I kinda let this thread fall off, I’ll try and take some pics of my Nomad stuff I got a little while back. I’m really impressed with their quality and very happy with the price I paid for it! The shirts are mesh in the back from the bottom to about half way up, and mesh down the inside of the sleeve to let your pits breathe, I bet they’re gonna be great when it’s 90-95* down here! The pants have a strange feeling to touch, almost like @swampsnyper said, a paper towel like feeling, but I tried them on and they feel very light and comfortable. I haven’t worn any of it yet in any heat, so I’m not sure on moisture wicking abilities, but I think I’m gonna be very pleased with them!
