Does anyone have experience with ozone on climbing equipment, good or bad. Will it compromise a tether?

Yeah,,,I've always heard that the ozone will damage the elastic in things...was wondering if it would cause similar damage to ropes?

I've used ozone for 5 years and the only issue I've had was on a pair of Irish Setter boots. The rubber on the toe cracked. No problems any other stuff, including other boots, saddle, ropes, clothing, backpacks. I set up a freestanding wardrobe closet in my garage and run a cycle with all my equipment in it after every hunt.

O3 is an oxidizer so it will break down anything rubber eventually, boots, suspenders and shock cords in jackets etc will get effected, crack and or lose elasticity. Your ropes should be good to go!
