(Video) Foot climber for saddle hunting

Your climber will weigh a lot more. A LOT!
My climbing aid only weighs around 5 lbs. Everything else would be taken with me if I was in a lock-in, a climber or ladder stand. So let's compare 5 lbs to a 16-24 lb climber.
Very true. I appreciate your opinions and will consider the option. I just need to work with my WE steps long enough to form an opinion. Especially since I already forked over several hours of overtime for them! I'm still trying to stay positive about them until they give me reason not to. Thanks.

Be careful and don't just use a linesman rope around a tree. Use some kind of girth to keep you from sliding down the tree

I had plans to try this with my lounge foot aid. Do you use a cinch strap or heavy bungee strap to secure to the tree at height? I always did that with the climber to keep it from ever dropping along with the short tether. Hook strap from one side bar across the front of tree to other side bar. Then you can use side steps for good shot position.

Mr.Price how wide is that? I have an old tree lounge and this method has me thinking, I have certain trees I need to get high to get cover. Do you strap it tight on the tree when you get to hunting height?

Yes! I have 3. One is 18", one is 20", one is 24". I prefer the 20 but all are great

I think the deer might hear you karate chop those branches off.:) Great idea. Is it comfortable to stand on at height?

Original Loggy Bayou climbing aid for their climber might work well too? Mine is aluminum, pretty light!

The thing about the lounger aid or like mine is, if your in a leaning stance (that how I prefer to hunt), the climbing aid is perfectly horizontal to your legs. This keeps your feet and legs from getting fatigued. It's is very comfortable, stable, light and most of all SAFE!

yup

@Mr Price
I've been using a lone wolf hand climber seat(lwhc) as my climber. I'm interested in this. I guess a question I have is do you ever have to worry about it folding on you? When using the lwhc I have to adjust the belt as I climb at least once so that the platform doesn't fold on me.

Also, if you get the time could you take a picture with a tape measure along one of the sides? Interested to see measurement of weld and holes

There isn't any way it could fold on you. Look at the construction.
