I use a green or red light in the morning until legal shooting hours (don’t want to be “hunting with an artificial light”). Going out I don’t give a flying frigg: Brightest white I own. I don’t do dark woods alone very well.

Seriously what are you guys afraid of we’re supposed to be the top of the food chain. I bet Fred Bear wasn’t afraid of the dark. Lol All kidding aside it’s tough to beat a Stinger when you need to blind everything in your path.

Got within 20 yrds of a doe with my white headlamp this morning. It wasn't the first time I've done that, I'll probably switch to a red light when I get to my tree so that Im not blind when I turn it off.

One of the nicest bucks I've seen in the woods let me walk right up to him with a white head lamp. I was walking east, he was walking west. We were about 25 yards away, stopped to look at each other, and then he slowly walked out of my life forever...

Dim white light on walk in and red at the tree.My experience is that the earlier you walk in the less your light bothers them.Deer see people in the woods after dark around here chasing their hounds and they sort of get used to it maybe
