What thread for sewing non-climbing attach points to RCH?

I'm looking at adding some 1" webbing strips to my RCH so I can attach my dump pouches via their MOLLE webbing.

Anybody have suggestions on any specific type of thread to use for that? It's not climb-supporting, just holding pouches, but I would still like it to be durable. My wife said her sewing machine is 'heavy duty' to do it, if that makes a difference..

TIA,
CJ

# 69 bonded polyester. You will need a heavier thresd like this to hold up while punching through the existing webbing without breaking while its being pulled back through. SGT Knots bonded poly #69 thread is reasonably priced and durable.

Thanks for the quick reply. I was reading through the DIY Sewing thread, but it turned into more of a "What kind of sewing machine should I get" thread and I got lost. ha!

I use Gutterman's upholstery thread for everything. Jeans or pouches, it works great. It is size V69 or Tex70. Readily available today at Joann's Fabrics stores.
