What type of saddle was it? Maybe a word search might find it if we dig for it.
Could u add an additional elastic webbing keeper to slid over the hook and keep it from falling out

Yeah I think it was some kind of rubber band over the top if it or something.
If I remember right it was a castration band. I don’t remember how it was configured or what the thread was called.

Seems to me when that discussion was going on, there was only one saddle on the market that used G hooks...the Mantis.

Yes but depending on the brand or g hook you have, the elastic would need to be sized to stretch over the metal

Summer time 2018
Castration band on webbing before inserting g hook. Roll it up away from loop to insert g hook. Roll it down to construct the loop.
