Xop 1/4 Turn Lock

So I was cruising through XOP parts online looking at seats the other day and noticed they sell the 1/4 turn equipment they use use to lock the sticks together. Anyone ever play with attaching that to a platform? Thinking you could attach the platform to xop sticks for easier transport.
 
I plan on tinkering with this when it gets warmer and can tinker around in the garage. I bought 4 XOP sticks so I have everything I need but was also considering using a quarer turn fastener instead, for attachment to my stand
