I received an email yesterday saying the new Kestrel Kite mesh was available for pre-order and would be listed on their web site in the next few days. To my surprise it was listed this morning. I’m going to try the Kestrel, Mantis and Preditor stand hopefully all will be showing up about the same time. I’ve been hunting with a Modified Treesuit for 20+ years (ever since they were first released) so I thought I would give the two new releases a shot. I’ve really enjoyed this Saddle Hunting site and thanks to all for your insights. I’ve been chasing deer since the late 50’s with a Bow, I now use a Crossbow and at 73 still look forward for the season to open every year. Good luck to all and thanks again for all the info that is exchanged on this site.

At the top of this page it says this product availability is "Pre-Order." This means Kite is in production now and will be ready for shipping in about a week. By paying for your order now, you secure your place in line for first-come-first-served shipping. Read about our Pre-Order Policy here.

When ordering, please choose size from the menu above.

The Kite tree saddle is sleek and simple like the Kestrel, with all the comfort and safety a tree hunter needs for success in the field.

Our goal in creating the Kite was to keep all the best benefits of the Aero Hunter Kestrel saddle, but make it even lighter and cooler:

--Seat is made with cool, lightweight breathable mesh fabric

--just one simple adjustment for a great fit

--smaller, lighter weight metal hardware

--waist belt and leg straps open up for ease putting them on over any kind of clothing. The waist buckle does not separate, but you can unthread the webbing to open it, or let out the webbing to make the waist belt large enough to step through easily.

--rope bridge is tied on, eliminating the carabiner to reduce weight and potential noise from metal parts. You can modify this bridge by adding a carabiner if you want the convenience of being able to open the bridge when taking the saddle on and off.

----the side loops for connecting the Lineman’s Belt have been positioned more forward for better performance

--16 slots (two rows of 8) of molle webbing for attaching any tools/bags you want to carry on the saddle, now roomier and easier to use

--a variety of optional hooks and rings you can attach to the molle webbing wherever you want them

--even lower price because it’s more efficient to make and the materials are less costly

--weighs only 1 lbs 8 oz.

The Kite saddle works with all the Aero Hunter accessories. These can be purchased separately, or together with the saddle in the Kite Kit:

--Lineman’s belt

--Tree strap (either 6 ft or 12 ft length)

--Back band for adjustable, positionable back support

IMPORTANT: YOU WILL NEED climbing sticks, steps or ladder attached to the tree to climb on while ascending with a Lineman’s belt. You may also want a platform device to support your feet on the tree, and knee pads for resting against the trunk.

We are proud to recommend the SteppLadder from Wild Edge as the perfect companion to Aero Hunter saddles.

Another great option for hunters

I too have been hunting from a modified tree suit for years and received an email about the Kite yesterday. I love my tree suit but I think I will be ordering a Kite too. Looks like a great saddle.

I hope I will find myself in a saddle at 74 too. My dad is 74 and quit hunting a few years ago. I think he misses it. Maybe I can get him in the woods this fall when I tell him if someone his age still hunting from a saddle.

The Kite looks great and I want one of the Mantis and Kite but I think the wife would kill me. So I have to figure out which way to go. Great job done by New Tribe and Tethrd Nation on their saddles. This a great time to be a saddle hunter. I also have my treesuit in original form along with a Guido's web and a Kestrel but you can always use one or two more saddles.

Didn’t realize they were dropping the cobra buckle on the waist strap. I quite liked that. I see you can still unthread it though. But yeah... choices...

I like it a lot. Did you order the size 2 or size 1? I'd like to see if the listed weight was accurate. I imagine you could shave a little extra off with an amsteel bridge.

I really have no good reason to change, but lighter and more packable + sleeker buckles looks like a win. I need to call and see if they'll do me one without the leg buckles...

Nutterbuster I ordered the size 2. I’m 6’2” at 180 lbs and wanted a little room if anything. I just order the Kite saddle I’m getting the heat pad and back ban with the Mantis. I have a back ban for the Treesuit and it has worked out good over the years.

VtBow= I tried to download the TreeSuit pic’s but wasn’t able to. Send me your email and I will send them to you.

I would like to see those pics of your treesuit if you don't mind. I send you my email.

I would like to see an option to get the cobra buckles as well. I really like them

It looks like they changed the leg buckles on the kestrel

I'll probably order one. I think I'll have to sell my Guido's Web first.

The cheapest to Pittsburgh PA is $17.30 2 day US postal. For the Kite and a linesman belt.

I ordered my this morning, $20 2-day to RI. I thought that was a fair price, especially for the whole kit.
