New kestrel (kite Mesh) listed on their web site

Just more packable being made of mesh. It still has the heavy duty straps like the evo did generations ago. Big straps use big buckles. If a rock climbing harness can be built like a string bikini and catch you from a free fall, then a hunting saddle that you keep tension on surely can use smaller straps. Aerohunter has always made a high quality product. No question there. I just think it’s over kill for my purposes.

Im not sure it is any more packable then the Kestrel

Dave, are you able to see any differences in comfort between the two? And do you think going up a size would put the lineman’s belt loops further in front for easier hook up.

I haven't had a chance to hang from it for an extended period. But I don't really find any saddle uncomfortable so I may not be the best to make comfort calls?

My Kite finally arrives today after ordering in mid July. Wohoo things were getting iffy there. I'll be sure do an unboxing video....jk, the most useless content on God's green earth.

My kite is a size two and kestrel is a size one. A few differences in fit obviously. One advantage to going with saddle that’s slightly oversized is putting the lineman’s loops in front of my hips, and a shorter bridge to manage.

Packs same size as kestrel. I have my lineman’s belt and a predator bridge permanently attached to the sling though, those create bulk. Swapped the buckles just like I did in my kestrel tweak thread.

I love the mesh definitely a great idea. I’ll actuallh wear the thing walking in now instead of packing it. Which leaves me room to figure out how to pack the dang base for the fourth arrow arm. That thing is a pebble in your shoe if I’ve ever seen one.

anyone ordered a kite recently ..wondering what thier lead time is right now.
I'd call them. I found Debbie to be very helpful and accurate with estimated lead times.
The Kite has proven to be an excellent saddle for us. We've used it extensively over the last two weeks, practicing single stick and drilling 17 trees for bolts.
