Thank you Tethrd for your tireless work. Just so you know these guys were up in the wee hours of the morning answering pm’s etc.
Here is my take on things.
The biggest problem I am seeing in the manufacturing world of high end products and the availability of such. Whether it be Dan’s new sticks, TethrdNation or Aero Hunter and I am sure others. Many companies especially new ones have to rely on other companies for parts etc. The companies that manufacture these parts already have established customers and supply lines. When a new company comes on line asking for a couple thousand widgets it screws up the supply chain. Especially when they are high end products such as what these 3 companies are producing. In other words we are definitely out of the recession and there is more discretionary spending. Companies are so busy that they are taking care of their regular and established customers first. Established companies do not care about small start up companies, they care about the $$. This includes testing labs. They are going to push a small new company to the back of the line.
Greg & Ernie care about the end product and safety. They are not taking short cuts. So I applaud you for that.
So true... Small means low, low priority.
I sent some short 12 inch aluminum sticks away to be welded in April. They said they would do them in 2 weeks... Still not done. Regular or large customers always come first.
As far as the Tethrd...I have a Kestrel anyways so waiting is not the end of the world. I have ameristeps so waiting for a platform is not a huge problem either. I really don't understand why people are impatient if they have other means of hunting.
If you are new to saddle hunting, I get the impatience. If you are new to saddle hunting you really do not need a month to practice climbing or shooting or sitting in a saddle. 5 or 6 times and you will be 90 % ready which is good enough Just don't get a saddle and go hunting the same day. I did that with my aerohunter evolution and it was an uncomfortable 3 hours.
