How many more weeks out are you on testing the Kegerator???

Kegerator testing delays as August testing for the saddle kegerator caused dehydration and heat exhaustion of the tester..... the kegerator broke the tester! Initial testing indicates rather than running the extension cord from the generator, it is much easier to leave to kegerator next to the generator and run the tap up the tree. More testing is needed to confirm these results. Generator use is not recommended while hunting.

Go to Jacksonville Florida during the mullet run. There will be hundreds of people lined up on the jetties throwing chicken feed in the water snatching treble hooks through the chum cloud. Some actually bait several hooks with oatmeal. Others use cast nets. The limit is 50 and it isn’t hard to fill a cooler with 50 1-2 lb mullet. They have a strong flavor but not like bluefish or mackerel. We use mullet for bait also. Not all people here eat mullet but about 25 percent of us do.

Here is the difference.

I have never eaten mullet, yet it is probably on par with blues or mackerel. Sounds like a good grilling fish.

I’ve never eaten them grilled. I’ve had them smoked but wasn’t a fan. To me they are best fried. I don’t know what it is about getting them at restaurants. They are either real good or real bad. I don’t know if it’s when they catch them or how they are stored. They have a strong flavor but not like blues.

Thank you Tethrd for your tireless work. Just so you know these guys were up in the wee hours of the morning answering pm’s etc.

Here is my take on things.

The biggest problem I am seeing in the manufacturing world of high end products and the availability of such. Whether it be Dan’s new sticks, TethrdNation or Aero Hunter and I am sure others. Many companies especially new ones have to rely on other companies for parts etc. The companies that manufacture these parts already have established customers and supply lines. When a new company comes on line asking for a couple thousand widgets it screws up the supply chain. Especially when they are high end products such as what these 3 companies are producing. In other words we are definitely out of the recession and there is more discretionary spending. Companies are so busy that they are taking care of their regular and established customers first. Established companies do not care about small start up companies, they care about the $$. This includes testing labs. They are going to push a small new company to the back of the line.
Greg & Ernie care about the end product and safety. They are not taking short cuts. So I applaud you for that.

So true... Small means low, low priority.
I sent some short 12 inch aluminum sticks away to be welded in April. They said they would do them in 2 weeks... Still not done. Regular or large customers always come first.

As far as the Tethrd...I have a Kestrel anyways so waiting is not the end of the world. I have ameristeps so waiting for a platform is not a huge problem either. I really don't understand why people are impatient if they have other means of hunting.
If you are new to saddle hunting, I get the impatience. If you are new to saddle hunting you really do not need a month to practice climbing or shooting or sitting in a saddle. 5 or 6 times and you will be 90 % ready which is good enough Just don't get a saddle and go hunting the same day. I did that with my aerohunter evolution and it was an uncomfortable 3 hours.

A lot of us are in the same boat, so to speak. I have to agree. There is a learning curve, but not as drastic as most think. For me it was regaining my confidence of being safe at heights. Lol

If you lived in Huron county in Ontario I would lend you a Kestrel and sticks

Our shipping assistant. Aka my wife is at home adding postage to boxes that I spent all weekend assembling and packing. The platforms are boxed up and waiting on tree straps. Once I have them. (Should be the next day or so) they will start going out.

You guys are gonna like these!

I'm just going to pretend it's already in the mail and then cuss USPS because they are taking so long to update the info for the tracking number I got...okay?

@Erniepower I’ve seen it asked a couple of times and don’t think it’s been answered but how long do you think it will be before the mantis shows up at your place? I may have missed it with all the fish fry talk.
