I just got mine. The fit is very interesting. Fits like pants...no saggy diaper feeling. I can't imagine that this will be as comfortable as an Evo but within reason, I need compact/low weight more than extra comfort for my uses.

I agree on the fit. It definitely feels form fitting as you walk. As far as comfort, only real time in a tree will tell but I did get to hang in a tree for 15 minutes yesterday and I am very happy with the comfort so far.

Dewey, I've probably hiked 7 or 8 miles while wearing my kestrel since Thursday and you are right on. I barely even notice it is there.
This thing is awesome. Fits like a pair of comfortable pants. Should be great for walking in while wearing.

Glad I got a Size 1. Plenty of extra adjustment for layering thicker clothing.

What size waist are you? I'm thinking bout ordering one but I'm size 38 in waist and concerned that the smaller one would not fit good with heavier cold weather clothes!

Just tried mine on. My first impressions... wow... quality is off the charts! Puts my sitdrag to shame. I was pretty blown away by the size too. Much smaller than I expected. Will be putting some time in this week for sure.

I'd like to know what size you measure and what size you guys ordered for those of us getting to figure out what size to order.

I'm a 40" waist and ordered a size 2. Seems to have plenty of room for heavy layers.

Could you have gone w a size 1? I'm 38/40 depending on which brand of pants and ordered a size 1. I'm sure I can change it. What do you think?

So I am also a 38/40" waist (40" most days lol) and I ordered a size 2 kestrel.

I have about 10" of extra waist belt to play with when it's cinched down tight to my waist.

When it's loosened all the way I have about 7.5" of space to play with.

I think a size 2 is probably perfect if you are a 38/40" waist. Should give you plenty of room for layering in the late season.

Also if you're concerned it will feel 'baggy' or 'loose', which was one of things i didn't care for about the Evolution, it didn't while wearing plainclothes. I'm interested to see how it feels wearing slightly bulkier hunting clothes.

I also wear a 40. Size two is great. There is plenty of room on the belt but I wouldn't want to go any smaller. I think there's more to the size than the belt length. I think with a size one the saddle itself wouldn't wrap around as far.

Will say, I think the buckles are heavy. Seems like half the weight of the saddle. It they work GREAT so I'm not complaining
