Dang - I just put out a few crab pots with fish heads from the catch of the day, come back a day later, and boil a few dozen crabs haha...

A lot of my crew does chicken necks on hand lines in the surf and back bays too.

I will say, when I first moved back to La, I rigged up my boat for bowfishing. Our first trip out was a super moon, and I have no idea why, but one area we were at had rock jetties, and the crabs were crawling all over the place on the rocks in shallow water. We ditched the bowfishing gear for an 8' dip net, and brought home about 15 dozen crabs in a few hours time. Probably would've taken an hour, but beer... Those were some of the most beautiful crabs I've eaten.

Swampfox what is a Jubilee? Is it like a crab migration or gathering for breeding purposes?

Roger,

I have never heard a confirmed explanation of what the cause for a jubilee is(some say low oxygen in the water some say a migration still yet others have their own opinions). However marine life will get on the banks and appear as if to be migrating

Yeah, I guess those crabs are pretty tight-lipped huh!:) Well, it worked out pretty well for Kyler at least.

Roger,
